Pühädekare 10.-11.09

During this summer's long hikes in Saaremaa, we discovered a super good spot for spotting. Since we were paddling a longer distance and time was short, I would like to go back once and do a more thorough discovery trip. Since there were a few similar places that I would like to look around for a longer time, we are making a mini-series called EXPLORE, the hikes of which are suitable very well also for beginners and during which it is possible to acquire the British Canoeing Paddle if desired EXPLORE certificate.

A two-day, one-night trip with a maximum total length of 30 km, approx. 15 km/3-4 hours of paddling per day, also suitable for a beginner's first kayak trip.

The hike started on Saturday at 11:00 in the Virtsu port, and ended on Sunday at approximately 16:00 in the Virtsu port.

  • What to take with you

    Paddling outfit:

    • Dress according to the water and air temperature. In warm weather, shorts or sports pants are suitable. You could wear a long-sleeved shirt (e.g. a warm wash blouse) or_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b -136bad5cf58d_waterproof jacket for windy weather.
    • You should wear water-resistant shoes. If you can't find something suitable, you can borrow neoprene for surfing from us.
    • Depending on the weather, you could wear a warm hat or a wide-brimmed hat that protects against the sun, a buff, etc.
    • Sunglasses and sunscreen.

    Camp equipment:

    • According to the weather forecast, a change of clothes and shoes to walk in nature.

    • Sleeping bag, mat and tent. (It makes sense to take a tent on top of the group)

    • Sunscreen and other personal hygiene items and medicines if needed.

    •

    Foods

The SKE team takes care of breakfast (multigrain porridge with seeds, fruits and nuts, tea and coffee) and dinner. Please inform about food allergies and preferences 2-3 days before the start of the hike.

You should take care of yourself for lunch, snacks and daily personal drinking water. It is wise to bring picnic stuff for lunch, fruit, muesli bars or the like for paddling snacks.
