FAQ
Personal equipment should be taken with you on a two-day or longer hike:
- Sleeping equipment: sleeping bag, mat and tent. The sleeping mat or base could be inflatable or self-inflating because it is better to pack than a rolled sleeping base. If you only have a so-called foam mattress, you can put it between your legs in the cockpit.
- Drink and a small supply of food: in addition, you should take with you the supply of water consumed during the day, approx. 1.5 liters in a drinking bottle, and some sandwich material etc. for the lunch break.
- Paddling clothes: sports clothes, i.e. quick-drying pants and a long-sleeved blouse or a thin windbreaker.
- Camp clothes: Warm clothes and shoes for the evening.
- Personal hygiene items and medicines if necessary.
- Sunglasses and sunscreen.
- Headlamp in darker times from July.
Participants are responsible for finding the start and end of the hike themselves. For our part, we try to start the hike from civilized places where public transport runs, but this is not always possible. We favor sharing transport with other participants on the trip and will help organize it if necessary.
We are also ready to pick up hikers from bigger places, but since we are moving from the direction of Soomaa, we often come from the other direction.
In case of cancellation of booked and paid events or equipment rental 60 days before the event, 100% of the participation fee will be returned. If a paid event or equipment rental is canceled at least 30 days before the event, 50% of the participation fee will be returned. If the trip is canceled less than 14 days before the event, the participation fee will not be refunded. The reservation becomes valid from the moment the participation fee has been received in the bank account of Kayaking Estonia OÜ.
